Model United Nations

The Model United Nations (MUN) team competes in regional, national, and international conferences that simulate United Nations proceedings. Students can earn 1 hour of academic credit for participation in MUN. If you are interested in joining UNI's MUN Competition Team, please contact the group's student leaders at northerniowamodelun@gmail.com or the faculty advisor at Brian.Warby@uni.edu.

Political Science Society

The Political Science Society is the club for any and all UNI students interested in political science or politics. This club is non-partisan and has organized hunger banquets raising awareness about world hunger, panel discussions and guest lectures on a variety of topics, including American political dirty tricks, sexism in American society, and labor issues in Iowa. The club has put on voter registration drives, showings of several films, and a very popular post-election reconciliation chili supper.

For information about this club, contact faculty advisor Scott Peters at scott.peters@uni.edu.

UNI Pre-law Club

The Pre-law club allows students to explore their interest in law school and works closely with UNI’s pre-law advisors to help students prepare for law school and the law school application process. Head to prelaw.uni.edu for more information about pre-law at UNI. Contact Prof. Peters with questions.
