Transfer Students
We are excited to have you join us in the UNI BSW program! Wherever you are in your undergraduate journey, we are happy to help you pursue your social work degree goals.
If you are joining us after having completed an Associates of Arts degree (AA; two-year degree), you have fulfilled the UNIFI (general education) requirements at UNI and are ready to begin your social work-specific course requirements.
Steps to Transfer into UNI’S BSW Program
- Complete your application to UNI, choosing "Social Work Pre-Major" as your major declaration.
- Upload your unofficial transcript directly within the application or by emailing it to Admissions at transfer@uni.edu. Note: You will need to request your official versions be sent to us from your institution(s) before you begin classes.
- UNI Admissions will provide your contact information to the BSW Program Director.
- During the regular orientation process, the BSW Program Director will meet with you to devise your plan of study and help you register for classes.
- Prior to registering for SW3192 Social Work Groups and Families, the department will assist you in applying into the social work major.
