Certified Nonprofit Professional

Nonprofit Leadership Alliance

As a campus partner with the Nonprofit Leadership Alliance, UNI offers a preferred track to prepare students for the Certified Nonprofit Professional (CNP) credential — the only national nonprofit credential preparing students for leadership in the nonprofit sector.

This credential is an easy addition your BSW degree! The Department of Social Work will now accept the two RTNL classes (noted below) as electives towards the major. As long as the required internship is for a registered nonprofit, those hours can also count towards your major requirement. That means the only additional requirement necessary to earn this credential is to take the exam (which you can do before graduation, on your own timeline).

Interested?

Please fill out the brief form linked below and Kristina Kofoot from the Office of Community Engagement will reach out to setup a meeting to walk you through the process. Be sure to let her know you are a social work major!
