Financial Support for Internships

Scholarships are available to defray costs associated with internships. 

The UNI Public Policy Scholarship is available to political science, public administration, and political communication majors who are engaged in off-campus learning opportunities related to public policy. Recipients must have a 3.0 GPA or higher. See https://bit.ly/UNIpubpolschol to apply.

The Robert and Yvonne Koob Fund for Student Community Engagement supports students completing internships in positions of service in Iowa. Awards up to $2,000 for undergraduates. See https://bit.ly/UNIKoobFund to apply.

The Patricia A. Tomson Center for Violence Prevention offers financial support to College of Social & Behavioral Sciences students who are undertaking internships in violence prevention and/or victim service agencies, either working directly with clients or working on violence prevention at the program or policy levels.
