Join the Geography Club! The student-ran club has one main goal: to explore the realm of geography and have fun doing it. Members have opportunities to engage in social events, field trips, research and several other activities. The Geography Club also provides an opportunity to get to know other students and faculty.

About 50 percent of undergraduate students participate in funded collaborative research with faculty at UNI.

Students are employed through a variety of sources, including faculty grants, GEoTREE Center contracts and Iowa Space Grant Consortium fellowships. The department fast-tracks student colleagues into deeper, more meaningful research and outreach activities through mentorship designed to empower the students to become equal partners and leaders.
