Effective June 26, 2024, the baccalaureate nursing program at the University of Northern Iowa is a candidate for initial accreditation by the Accreditation Commission for Education in Nursing. This candidacy status expires on June 26, 2026.

The date for the Initial Accreditation Site Visit is scheduled for March 3-5, 2026.

Public Notice of Upcoming Accreditation Review Visit by the ACEN

The University of Northern Iowa wishes to announce that it will host a site visit for initial accreditation of its Bachelor of Science in Nursing program by the Accreditation Commission for Education in Nursing (ACEN).

You are invited to meet with the site visit team and share your comments about the program in person at a meeting scheduled at 3:30 p.m. on Wednesday, March 4, 2026, in Room 029 of the Innovative Teaching and Technology Center (ITTC) building located at 1204 West 23rd Street, Cedar Falls, Iowa 50614.

Written comments are also welcome and should be submitted to the ACEN via email at public-comments@acenursing.org or to the ACEN office:
