Welcome to the new Department of Nursing & Public Health, offering high-quality, hands-on education to develop future nurses and public health professionals for the state of Iowa and beyond!
UNI's new nursing degree will prepare graduates who are clinically focused and practice-ready. Students will become proficient in situational awareness and develop clinical judgment, allowing them to excel in the full spectrum of healthcare and non-healthcare settings.
With a public health degree, students will learn to become part of the solution, learning about health promotion, disease prevention and health improvement strategies. By influencing policy, behavior and environment, public health professionals create long-lasting changes that lead to healthier communities.
