Women In Politics Bipartisan Scholarship Benefit

The Women in Politics Bipartisan Scholarship Benefit helps celebrate the contributions of Iowa women in public service while raising money for the Women in Politics Scholarship fund, awarded to UNI undergraduate students studying political science or public administration with an interest in public service. The scholarship is supported by an advisory board of over two dozen women business and community leaders, co-chaired by Doris J. Kelley and the Rev. Cathy Young.

Our 2023 will be held at the Hilton Garden Inn and feature guest speaker, Courtney Maxwell Greene, director of external partnerships and community engagement for Unity Point. Courtney worked for 15 years in television broadcast news as a reporter, producer and anchor in Des Moines, Iowa and Kansas City, Missouri. She also spent several years in Iowa state government doing communications as press secretary for the Iowa Governor, as public information bureau chief and spokesperson for the Dept. of Public Safety and communications director and division administrator for Iowa Workforce Development.

Online registration for the event is now closed. Please contact Katie Sires at katie.sires@uni.edu or 319-273-2039.
