The Women in Politics Bipartisan Scholarship Benefit helps celebrate the contributions of Iowa women in public service while raising money for the Women in Politics Scholarship fund, awarded to UNI undergraduate students studying political science or public administration with an interest in public service. The scholarship is supported by an advisory board of more than two dozen women business and community leaders, co-chaired by Doris J. Kelley and the Rev. Cathy Young.

Our 2024 event will be held Tuesday, October 8 at the Hilton Garden Inn Cedar Falls and feature guest speaker Judy Bradshaw, retired Des Moines Chief of Police and Director of the Iowa Law Enforcement Academy. Judy was the first female police chief for the city of Des Moines, and dedicated her career to the city, serving the Des Moines Police Department for 34 years. In 2015 she was appointed the sixth Director of Iowa Law Enforcement Academy by Governor Branstad. Judy recently retired in 2022 after 42 years dedicated to public safety and service.

Registration will open this summer!
