2017
- Most improved program in 3rd ROTC Brigade
- 1st overall in 3rd ROTC Brigade for Recruiting and Retention
2016
- 1st overall in 3rd ROTC Brigade for Recruiting and Retention
2015
- 2nd Place in 3rd ROTC Brigade (out of 41 programs) for Recruiting and Retention
- 2nd Place in 3rd ROTC Brigade (out of 41 programs) for Personnel Support
2014
- 2nd Place in 3rd ROTC Brigade (out of 41 programs) for Recruiting and Retention
2013
- Top 25% of 274 ROTC Programs Nationwide, top third regionally.
- Top 6% Nationwide for students earning the Recondo Award. These Awards are based on practical evaluations of the 16 Leadership Dimensions and Values, written and practical Land Navigation tests, First Aid Tasks and Physical Fitness.
2012
- 3rd Place “Best Program in the Brigade” (based on GPA scores, fitness scores, and overall leadership evaluations of the graduating class).
- 3rd Place “Warrior Forge” (This is for overall performance of our Cadets at the 6 week summer training program at Fort Lewis Washington).
- In 2012, The University of Northern Iowa ROTC was ranked in the top 10% (15th of 272) of all ROTC programs in the country for the performance of UNI's Cadets at Warrior Forge.
