The Department of Military Science offers coursework in leadership development to all students and administers the Army Reserve Officers’ Training Corps (ROTC) program for students who want to serve as Army officers.
Courses in leadership prepare students to lead at multiple echelons in both military and civilian sectors. Foundational courses in military science include leadership and personal development, tactical and team leadership, and decision-making.
As a member of Army ROTC, not only are you working towards a degree, but towards a future. Army ROTC is one of the most demanding and successful leadership programs in the country.
Scholarships and stipends in Army ROTC pay for college courses and help you focus on what's important. Namely, getting that college degree — not how you'll pay for it.
UNI ROTC has a strong working relationship with Allen College. Military Science classes are also available to students at Hawkeye Community College who are considering transferring to UNI to finish their degree.
