Iowa High School Model United Nations

Hosted by the University of Northern Iowa, the Iowa High School Model UN Conference brings together students from across the state — and beyond — for an immersive, hands-on experience in global diplomacy. Over the course of the conference, delegates step into the role of UN ambassadors, representing nations from around the world as they debate pressing international issues, negotiate solutions and work together to draft resolutions.

More than just an academic exercise, IHSMUN challenges students to think critically, communicate effectively and collaborate across cultural perspectives. Delegates explore topics in international politics, human rights, health, the environment and global security — all while developing leadership skills that will serve them well into the future.
