UNI Nursing Admissions

Prerequisite Coursework*

  • PH 2180: Medical Terminology
  • CHEM 1010: Principles of Chemistry
  • BIOL 1101: Principles of Anatomy and Physiology I
  • BIOL 1102: Principles of Anatomy and Physiology II
  • STAT 1772: Intro to Statistical Methods - OR - SOC SCI 2020: Statistics for Social Science Research
  • PSYCH 2202: Developmental Psych - OR - FAM SERV 1055 Human Growth and Development

Students must maintain a 3.0 cumulative GPA in the prerequisite courses. Students with a lower GPA may be considered due to special circumstances.

* Equivalent transfer courses, including courses taken from community colleges, will be accepted.

When to Apply

  • Apply by January 5 (early consideration) for the fall cohort.  Decisions sent out around February 5.
     
  • Apply by February 15 (standard consideration) for the fall cohort.  Decisions sent out around March 15.
     
  • Apply by September 16 for the spring cohort. Decisions sent out around October 7. 

FAQ’s

Do I need to reapply if I’ve not been admitted? 

Students not being admitted for one cohort will automatically be reconsidered for subsequent cohorts. Students do not need to resubmit a nursing application within one year of first application.

Will everyone who is eligible be admitted? 

Admissions is competitive. Cohort sizes may vary based on available clinical facilities and staffing. 

English Proficiency
