What brought you to UNI?

I was drawn to UNI’s nursing program because of their clear commitment to advancing nursing education through hands-on, simulation based education. It is critical to bring “real-life” experiences to nursing education to best prepare students to enter the workforce, and the nursing program at UNI seems to do that. Go Panthers!  

What are your interests?

My teaching interests include medical-surgical nursing, Evidence Based Practice and scholarship, along with nursing leadership. My goal as an educator is to incorporate real life experiences along with hands-on, simulation based learning to bring practical skills and knowledge to the classroom.

My top personal interests include my three kids- Millie, Anderson, and Joie. They keep my husband and I busy, but we enjoy staying busy as a family. You can always find us outside, at our local high school sporting events, and spending time with friends and family!
