Tell us a little about your background. How did you end up at UNI?
I was interested in pursuing a graduate degree in physical education and found UNI to be the most accommodating.

Why did you choose to pursue this degree at UNI?
It was essential for the degree program to be strictly online, which was necessary given my work and family schedule.

What does completing your degree mean to you?
Earning my degree from a prestigious university like UNI will pay extreme dividends in my future career. I've already begun implementing the information I learned into the courses I teach.

How did you choose your area of focus for your thesis or dissertation, if you did one? Why was this important to you?
I'm constantly researching best practices in education and determined that an advanced degree focused on teacher pedagogy would be an ideal fit for me.

What challenges did you face as you worked toward this degree – and how did you overcome them?
It was challenging at times to allocate the necessary time towards course-related content. Juggling my family schedule and the workload was difficult but it all got worked out through time management.

How did UNI help you achieve your goals?
UNI has had a tremendous impact on my teaching and coaching ability. Implementing the material has made for a more impactful experience for my students and athletes.

What’s your best memory of your time at UNI?
Making connections with other members of my cohort. Working alongside these talented individuals has made a lasting impact on my work.

What advice would you give to students considering UNI?
Go for it. Getting started is sometimes the hardest part, but once you've decided to pursue your degree, there's no better place to attend than UNI.

What do you plan to do with your degree?
I plan to be a college professor, and I've already taken steps to achieve that position.
