Do you want to make a difference in the lives of women and girls?
Join the Northern Iowa Feminists!
We aim to be a voice for feminist issues at UNI through discussion, presentations, and events.
Northern Iowa Feminists is a cultural, political, and service organization that promotes gender equality and awareness of gender and sex related issues on campus while advocating for progressive changes at UNI. We define feminism as working towards social, political, and economic equality of all genders. We encourage discussion and promote intersectionality with the issues of race, sexual orientation, ethnicity, class, ability, religion, age, and other identities. We stand in solidarity with other progressive student groups that advocate for equality and social justice at UNI without taking the focus off of the voices that need to be heard. We work to end negative connotations surrounding feminism at UNI and educate people about feminism in a positive way.
