Day of Solidarity set for November 5

Faculty and staff representatives from the College of Education and the Women's and Gender Studies Program will sponsor a Day of Solidarity gathering at noon, Thursday, Nov. 5 in front of the Maucker Union near the water fountain. This gathering is for all faculty and staff who desire to reaffirm their support of students and others who have been made to feel "less than" by the language and actions of others simply for being who they are. Students are also welcome to attend, and we invite ALL who are ready and willing to stand up against oppressive language and actions that have occurred on our campus and in our local, state, and national communities to wear black on Nov. 5th. Individuals are also welcome to bring signs to signify solidarity with those who have been victimized both locally and nationally.
