I'm writing this as if I'm giving advice to my two little girls because what I do and who I am is for them and about them.   I would tell them to not be scared to fail forward.  We all have 'teachable moments' along our professional journey and few people succeed at anything the first time.  So keep trying, never stop learning, and be OK with being wrong and with being uncomfortable because those are the moments when we grow.

Professional Accomplishments

One of the many reasons why I love the field of Social Work is that, as a social worker, you can do so many things ranging from direct practice to advocacy to program oversight, policy development and practice implementation, all services which I have provided as a professional in this field.  I have practiced as an administrator and Executive Director for a number of years and have also had the opportunity to practice as a therapist and a certified Clinical Supervisor for LMSWs working towards licensure.  I have training in CBT, TF-CBT, DBT, play therapy, and other evidenced-based practices and I am a  reviewer for the Council On Accreditation.
