Dr. Hanke is invested in teaching counselors about intervention and prevention across the lifespan and how to better serve older adults.

Prior to her current position, Dr. Hanke began as a UNI as an adjunct instructor. She was also the director and senior staff counselor at the Medical Student Counseling Center at the University of Iowa Carver College of Medicine.
