2016-2017 Sociology Minor Curriculum
Please see your degree audit to determine which sociology program requirements (2006-2008, 2008-2010, 2010-2012, 2012-2014, or 2014-2016) you need to fulfill. If you are under an older curriculum and wish to switch to the current curriculum (2016-2017), you may be able to redeclare the minor (visit the SAC department office BAR 1126 to declare or redeclare minor, or to obtain earlier curriculum information).

REQUIRED COURSES:
SOC 1000 Introduction to Sociology 3 hours
SOC 2010 Research Methods (Prerequisite: SOC 1000) 3 hours
ELECTIVES IN SOCIOLOGY (5 courses with the SOC prefix): 15 hours
Total hours for the minor: 21 hours
NOTES:
- Students are advised to take Introduction to Sociology (SOC 1000) and Research Methods (SOC 2010) before taking any other sociology courses.
- Not more than nine (9) semester hours of credit from SOC 3120/5120, SOC 3100/5100, SOC 3130/5130, and SOC 4198, may be applied toward the minor, except with the approval of your advisor and department head.
