I chose to attend UNI because it was a smaller university and felt more like a community than any other State school in Iowa.

I became interested in Sociology because I have always been fascinated about why people are the way they are. I think understanding people is so important in so many professions.

I am currently an Operations Manager at Target Distribution. I enjoy leading a group of team members to help gain success for the business as well as my employee’s career goals as well.

Sociology is applicable to all professions because you are able to understand why people are the way they are. Some skills I developed and currently use today include communication, research, writing, public speaking, and problem solving.”
