College of Social and Behavioral Sciences

An Internship introduces the student to the professional environment and allows application of theory and methods.  The internship is intended both to familiarize students with the organizational milieu of public policy and to give them an opportunity to apply their analytic training.  The internship is a formal course (PUBPOL 6281, 4 hrs) and is required for the MPP, unless waived by the director because of the student's previous employment experience.
