Industrial-Organizational Psychology

Industrial-Organizational (I-O) Psychology is the scientific study of human resources in organizations. I-O Psychologists use scientific tools and techniques to understand how people shape and are shaped by their work and workplace. Psychological science can be used to enhance critical organizational human resource functions, including recruiting, hiring, training, performance management, motivation, satisfaction, organizational development, occupational health and safety, and work-life balance.
