Libby joined the social work faculty as a full-time instructor in 2018. Before that she spent 8 years serving as an adjunct instructor for UNI in the family services and social work departments. Additionally, Libby has direct service experience, having worked for a local nonprofit for over 11 years. In that role she served mostly adolescents and their families, providing health education, case management, and crisis intervention. Outside of her teaching role, she also serves as an Iowa Family Support Credential Peer Reviewer, traveling the state to ensure family support programs meet quality standards. She is passionate about addressing health and wellness disparities for LGBTQ+ populations from a strengths based perspective. Libby loves introducing her kiddo to good music and attending concerts with her family.
