UNI Textiles and Apparel will be hosting its annual fashion show, “Catwalk 27: Runway to Heaven,” this Saturday, April 27, beginning at 7:00 p.m., in Lang Hall Auditorium. Inspired by Greek motifs, “Runway to Heaven” will showcase student design work live on the runway.
Kennedy Elliott, a senior in Marketing and Textiles and Apparel, is this year’s executive director for the show. As executive director, Kennedy works in collaboration with the TAPP Fashion Promotion class to coordinate the show’s promotion, staging, models and designers. Throughout the year, around 20 designers in the TAPP program created nearly 60 pieces designed both inside and outside of the classroom.
For many TAPP students, the Catwalk fashion show affords the designers the rewarding opportunity to present their work to a larger audience.
The event is free and open to the public, so please attend and show your support!
