Teaching Interests
Professor Anderson teaches courses on the American Revolution, American Civil War, and US History, as well as courses in UNIFI, UNI’s general education program.
Research Interests
Dr. Anderson is a scholar of the Midwestern United States; his research focuses on political, cultural, and religious developments in early & modern America. He is currently writing two books: one on the Black Brigade of Cincinnati (the first formal organization of black men employed for military purposes in the American Civil War) and one on the Halloween Blizzard of 1991.
