Associate Professor of History

Professor Sadkowski is a strong advocate of international education and led the effort to create the Global Studies track of the History major. He also organizes occasional lectures under the banner The Forum on National and Transnational Identities.

Teaching Interests

Dr. Sadkowski teaches HIST 1210 Making the Modern World, a new introductory course that satisfies the UNIFI Human Condition, Global requirement. He also created a new course, which he's teaching in Fall 2023: HIST 4910/5910 Global Studies, Topics: Humanity and Genocide. 

Research Interests

Professor Sadkowski’s research interests include nationalism and religion, national identity, and Modern Poland.
