U.S. Foreign Policy Making: Then & Now

Ambassador John Dinger (political science, ‘74) will give a talk about how foreign policy has traditionally been made and discuss ways that the current administration appears to deviate from this process. Ambassador to Mongolia from 2000-2003, during his nearly 40 year career in the State Department, Dinger served in a number of high-ranking roles that influenced foreign policy decisions, including as Principal Deputy Assistant Secretary for Intelligence and Research and as Deputy Coordinator for Counterterrorism. The talk takes place Thursday, November 20 from 4:00-5:00 p.m. in Sabin 134 and is sponsored by Political Science Society.
